Frequently asked questions.

Why do you use pre-paid reservations instead of regular reservations?

At The Workbench, we want to create an intimate environment for our guests. Pre-paid reservations allow us to anticipate who is coming and to give guests an all-encompassing experience at the best price possible. We are a small operation with very limited seating and want to ensure no last minute cancellations or no-shows.

Can I get a refund once purchased? Can I exchange my reservation for a different night?

Because of the personalized experience offered at The Workbench and limited seat availability, we do not offer refunds for reservations without ample notice. However, it may be possible to transfer your reservation to someone else. Please contact us as soon as possible if you cannot make it to your reservation.

What is included in the ticket price?

Our 10+ course tasting menu is an ever-changing culinary adventure featuring the finest ingredients sourced daily from all around the world, served to you in a luxurious and creative way. You can expect a live interactive dining experience in an open kitchen "chefs counter" fashion that allows you to be fully immersed in the entire process. Each dish is explained in detail by our head chef so you know exactly what you're eating.

5 paired cocktails hand-crafted from our mixologist OR 5 paired wines selected by our sommelier, depending on which pairing event you choose. Each pairing is explained in detail by our mixologist / sommelier.

Do you accommodate allergies / dietary restrictions?

At this time, substitutions are not accepted. However, if you have a food allergy or dietary restriction please contact us prior to booking via email, Instagram, or the contact form on our website and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Where is the location?

Our cooking studio is located in the Lodo area of Downtown Denver. The precise location / address will be released to guests the day of the event via text.

Where can I find upcoming dates / how do I book a reservation?

In order to book an upcoming date, you must be a part of our exclusive list. Our list is the only way to gain access to upcoming dates and book a reservation. You can join our list by visiting the main page of our website. These seatings are very limited and tend to sell out very quickly. Please feel free to reach out to us at any time for more details and any questions regarding availability.

Can I book out my own private dinner?

Yes! If you would like to book your own private dinner, please submit a request through the contact form on our website. Please keep in mind we require a minimum of 8 people and can do up to 14 for our chefs counter.

How often do you host events?

The Workbench currently operates as a private "pop-up" chefs counter tasting experience. We are not open on a day to day basis like a typical restaurant. As of now, our main focus is private dinner bookings with the occasional ticketed event. If you would like to book your own private dinner, please submit a request through the contact form on our website. If you would like to book tickets to an upcoming ticketed dinner, you MUST join our exclusive list in order to gain access to book seats. You can join our list on the main page of our website.

Am I able to see the menu in advance?

Due to our frequently changing menu, which allows us to have full creative freedom to explore the highest quality ingredients that are currently available, we are not able to provide the menu in advance. That being said, the current menu will be provided to our guests upon arrival.

Where should I park?

Being in a busy downtown location with limited parking options, we highly encourage our guests to arrive 20 minutes prior to event start to allow ample time to find parking. There is limited street parking and pay-to-park lots nearby. That being said, we recommend all of our guests to carpool and rideshare when possible. Specific parking instructions will be sent out the day of your reservation via text along with our address.
